载营魄抱一，

　　能无离乎？

　　专气致柔，

　　能如婴儿乎？

　　涤除玄览，

　　能无疵乎？

　　爱民治国，

　　能无为乎？

　　天门开阖，

　　能无雌乎？

　　明白四达，

　　能无知乎？

　　生之蓄之。

　　生而不有，

　　为而不恃，

　　长而不宰，

　　是谓玄德。

  Can body and soul united

  never sever?

  Can the controlled breath be

  softened as a baby's?

  Can the purified mental mirror be

  free from blemish?

  Can a people-loving ruler not interfere
 
  in the state affairs?

  Can the lower doors not open and close

  as the upper doors in heaven?

  Is it possible to understand and make

  understand without knowledge?

  Give life and make live,

  but lay no claim,

  benefit but do not interfere,

  lead but do not rule,

  Such is the mysterious virtue.

　　《八十七神仙卷》相传是唐代著名道释人物画大师吴道子的杰作。全图86位神仙（边上一位被裁去）人物依序而进，人物动态各异，或执华盖，或擎幢幡，或捧莲花，或弹琵琶，或吹笙笛，主次分明，文武有别，浩浩荡荡，秩序井然，好一派庄严的天庭景象。

  It is regarded as the work by Wu Daozi, the great artist of Tang dynasty. Eighty-seven immortals are drawn on the picture. The figures are walking in line, having various poses and holding different thinghs: a canopy, a flag, a lotus, a lute, a sheng (a reed pipe) or a flute. The primary and secondary are properly patterned, the civil and military are clearly differentiated. It is really a spectacular paradise scene.
