    There are 20 or more classical airs on these two CDs, including High Mountains and Flowing Streams and Colorful Clouds Chasing the Moon. The music is played on traditional instruments like the erhu, guzheng, pipa and flute in solo and ensemble arrangements. Ensembles also include traditional ensemble arrangements. Ensembles also include traditional stringed and woodwind instruments from south of the Yangtze River.

Gansu's Great Folk Instrumental Music”¤”¶The Flying Love Rhythms”·
    Gansu is rich in ethnic music that, ”°Originated in Duntuang, was characterized by the Silk Road, and diversified by multiple ethnic groups”±. Composers of the music on this album have taken Gansu folk music as source material. It includes suona (a woodwind instrument) melodies, daoqing(chanting folk tales to the accompaniment of instrumental music). Xianxiao (a form of ballad singing), and yangko melodies. This album includes original folk and ethnic songs that reflect the unique culture of Gansu Province.
