Zhangjiajie is located in the northwest of China's Hunan Province. It was China's first national park, and covers an area of 130 square kilometers. It was added to the World Natural Heritage List by UNESCO in 1992.With abundant natural resources, this area includes dense peaks, precipitous rocks, deep valleys and peaceful gullies. Known as the original inspiration for the Chinese landscape painting, this area boasts breathtaking peaks, valleys, ravines, forests, water, and rare animals.
