¡¶The Legend of the Ding Mausoleum¡·

Brief Introduction£º
¡¡ The tomb of emperor Wan Li(1368-1644) of the Ming Dynasty(1563-1644) is located in Northern outskirts of Beijing. It is the only emperor's tomb discovered in China that has granted access to the public. The emperor was very enigmatic and lived a very isolated existence. Evidence of Wan Li's legendary sad life is that after his death, his wish to be buried together with the woman he loved was not fulfilled.
¡¡ This film documents the experiences of the many people that were involved in the excavation of the tombs more than 40 years ago, providing interviews with surviving witnesses. There is also extensive coverage of the tomb's magnificent architecture and the mysterious underground palace. Many of the rare treasures that were excavated can also be seen. The Legend of Ding Ling is a valuable and unprecedented record of this important archeological find.
