The Tibet Autonomous Prison is a normal Chinese prison, But it has never been normal in the eyes of many people. Part of the reason is that the 900 prisoners here are serious criminals, among whom; some are convicted for endangering the national security. The life behind the bars therefore has always been mysterious, thus arousing curiosity from outsiders. The prison itself, however, still goes on in its own way day after day and year after year.
