Brief Introduction£º
The crested ibis, used to abound in China, Japan, Korea and South Siberia, has become an international protected rare bird today due to many reasons. There were merely five domesticated crested ibis in Japan by 1981 and the wild crested ibis were thought to have been extinct. After three years' scientific research and traveling 50 thousands kilometers, Professor Liu Ying of the Chinese Academy of Sciences identified seven wild crested ibis in Yang Xian County of Shanxi Province in March 1981. Ever since then the life of this unique bird has entered a new phase¡
