QIQIHAR, Northeast China, Jan. 20 (Xinhua) -- Zhang Dan/Zhang Hao of Harbin garnered 119.20 points to take the title of free skating pairs at the 11th National Winter Games being held here Sunday evening.
Pang Qing/Tong Jian, another pair also from Harbin, won the silver medal with a score of 118.27 points, followed by Li Jiaqi/Xu Jiankun from Changchun, capital city of Jilin province, with a score of 90.25 points.
"I am not so satisfied with my performance today. I made some errors. For example, the second spin should be a three-round one, but I made only two rounds," Zhang Dan, born in October of 1987, told reporters outside the ice rink.
"I feel a little bit tired during today's performance because Ihave been busy participating in so many contests recently," said 26-year-old Zhang Hao, who is suffering a cold.
There are altogether eight pairs participating in the event, four of whom represent Harbin.
Zhang Dan/Zhang Hao won the silver medal in free skating pairs at the 2006 Torin Winter Olympic Games. They also won a bronze medal in the 2006 World Figure Skating Grand Prix Final and a silver medal at the World Championship in the same year. |
