Fifty-eight-year-old Zhang Zhixin of Harbin created nearly a hundred papercuts featuring Fuwa, the 2008 Beijing Olympic mascots, in celebration of the Olympic Games.
Zhang learned the art of papercutting more than forty years ago, and began making the Fuwa papercuts last year, Xinhua News Agency reported on Wednesday.
An exhibition of her papercuts has been planned by staff members in Zhang's neighborhood to show support of a common citizen for the Beijing Olympics. |
