Vendors along Hefang Street, a famous tourist area in Hangzhou, capital of eastern China's Zhejiang Province, have joined a regular class to learn English, local news web site zjol.com.cn reported on Wednesday.
Organized by the street's administration office, the course utilizes foreign tutors in teaching the businessmen English.
Over 50 vendors have signed up for the course.
Hefang Street is the must-go place for tourists from China and abroad, featuring ancient Chinese food and craftsmanship. The street is one of China's National AAAA Tourism Attractions. |
