Contents Briefing

This Chinese Art of Flying Goddess presented to the readers is compiled by Mr. Zheng Ruzhong and Mr. Tai Jianqun through years of collection and selection of materials. All representative works of the Chinese art of flying goddess have been collected into this Book. The whole Book has over 600 pictures in it, including both the flying goddess in the Middle Asia in 3 century A.D. and the works as late as the Ming Dynasty. The wood carving of the flying goddess in the Kaiyuan Temple of the coastal city of Quanzhou and the wall painting of the flying goddess under the snow peaks of Tibet all compiled into this Book. Many pictures are published for the first time. It can be said that, when having this Book at hand, the readers can spare the labor of climbing mountains and wading streams and the hardship of setting feet on the dangerous, deep and remote places to see the essence of the Chinese art of flying goddess.
